Paris: April at the Eiffel Tower

April 1983 was the artist's first trip to Paris, France, the art capital of the world, which is the best of the best in French art and culture. April is a wonderful time in Paris.It is alive with color, texture, light, flowers and of course, the Eiffel Tower. The tower was built for the 1889 Universal Exposition as a temporary display of "modern technology". It was a very unpopular with the French people, but is now accepted as an important symbol of French art, architecture and culture.
